There are many different forms of abuse. Domestic and dating abuse can be physical, sexual, emotional, economic, or psychological actions/threats that negatively influence another person. LinkedIn is an online social network for business professionals. It's different than other social networking sites like MySpace and Facebook because it's designed specifically for professional networking -- finding a job, discovering sales leads, connecting with potential business partners -- rather than simply making friends or sharing media like photos, videos and music. Yun bridge - pretty sure I'm doing this the hard way.

2018.09.25 22:29 betelgeux Yun bridge - pretty sure I'm doing this the hard way.

Using a Linkit Smart 7688 Duo I'm trying to build a location/voltage monitor.
The final goal is to be able to have the end user open a webpage on the unit and see these values, updated every 5 seconds.
GPS is interfaced via serial and the voltage is read using analog inputs. All of that is working fine.

Getting the data to the Yun side of the bridge in my current sketch uses telnet. It works but it seems like a massive kludge. Little surprise there, it's code from several examples cobbled together.
Is there a better way to do this?

#include
#include
#include
#include

static const int RXPin = 9, TXPin = 10;
static const uint32_t GPSBaud = 9600;
const int analogInPin = A0; // Analog input pin that the potentiometer is attached to
const int analogOutPin = A1; // Analog output pin that the LED is attached to

int sensorValue = 0; // value read from the pot
int outputValue = 0; // value output to the PWM (analog out)

// The TinyGPS++ object
TinyGPSPlus gps;

// The serial connection to the GPS device
SoftwareSerial ss(RXPin, TXPin);

String name;

void setup()

{
// Initialize Console and wait for port to open:
Bridge.begin();
Console.begin();
Serial.begin(115200);
ss.begin(GPSBaud);

// Wait for Console port to connect
while (!Console);

Console.println("Standby...");
}

void loop()
{
// read the analog in value:
sensorValue = analogRead(analogInPin);
// map it to the range of the analog out:
outputValue = map(sensorValue, 0, 1000, 0, 1000);
// change the analog out value:
analogWrite(analogOutPin, outputValue);

while (ss.available() > 0)
if (gps.encode(ss.read()))
displayInfo();
if (millis() > 1000 && gps.charsProcessed() < 10)
{
Console.println(F("No GPS detected: check wiring."));
while (true);
}
}
void displayInfo()
{
{
float Vmo = sensorValue * 0.1;
float Vmon = (Vmo / 20.95) * 10;
Console.print(gps.location.lat(), 6);
Console.print(F(","));
Console.print(gps.location.lng(), 6);
Console.print(F(" "));
Console.print(gps.date.month());
Console.print(F("/"));
Console.print(gps.date.day());
Console.print(F("/"));
Console.print(gps.date.year());
Console.print(F(" "));
Console.print(gps.time.hour());
Console.print(F(":"));
Console.print(gps.time.minute());

Georgia Tech Associate Professor Baratunde Cola measures the power produced by converting green laser illumination to electricity using a carbon nanotube optical rectenna.If commercialized, the technology could transform desert areas into fuel farms, Loutzenhiser said: “Instead of pulling fuel out of the ground, we could pull carbon dioxide from the air and use the sun to convert it with water into a long-term storage medium that could be shipped and used around the world without changes to transportation infrastructure.” Hello Graphene Supercaps, Good-bye Batteries?Photo: Fitrah hamid Monolithic Microscale Heat Pumps Proving that good things come in small packages, researchers led by Srinivas Garimella have developed a novel textbook-sized cooling system that operates on waste heat rather than electricity.“Yet this requires higher operating temperatures — 800 degrees Celsius compared to current temperatures below 600 degrees — and current heat exchangers literally can’t take the pressure.” To resolve this, Henry and Ranjan are working with Purdue University researchers to develop a new breed of heat exchanger that can withstand extremely high temperatures and pressures, a project supported by DOE SunShot funding.Photo: Gary Meek

2013.05.20 22:45 iandioch SquishyChallenge 3 - Games you can fit in your pocket.

Last theme: Dice Games.
GameChef is going on this week, so if you want to do that instead, that's cool. Or, you can combine that theme with this one and make an awesome GameChef game you can fit in your pocket!
Also of note is the Fishing Jam, just because it's so awesome. I have an idea for a fantasy-fishing cardgame. Why not come up with something yourself? Again, you could theoretically combine the Fishing Jam with the SquishyChallenge... That would be amazing...

What do I mean by fitting the game in your pocket? Well, all of the components must be able to fit in a decent-sized pocket at the same time. That means maybe a deck of cards, a few dice, a sheet of paper, and a pencil. Maybe you have a board that folds up small, and a few pieces. The point of this theme is to make games that don't go overboard on the components. You have to make a game with a very small number.
The resulting games should be ideal for taking on journeys, because you could fit 20 such games in a bag.
If you want to "cheat", then you can include a mobile phone as one of your components. Phones can have calculators, dice, even maps on them. It makes it all a little easier, but that's what cheating is for.

And now the games!

As always, you can keep up to date with major SquishyChallenge updates here, or less important ones by following @ideasquish on Twitter or checking out the #SquishyChallenge hashtag.
Next theme: Game where each session is influenced by previous sessions.
