Issue with DNS server

2020.09.27 14:17 calindan2013 Issue with DNS server

I had my DNS server running BIND9 run perfectly well for weeks and suddenly , starting 2 days ago it stopped resolving my domain name, my website doesn't load anymore ( www.ark-fx.com ) and my domain name doesn't resolve with dig or nslookup or host.

I checked the server and:

- Dig and host report nothing found (when the server was working just days ago, they returned the IP of the queried hostname/domain name) :

2020.09.26 04:32 TimeyWimey221 So I just got my account suspended too. This concerns me and it should concern you too.

I want to preface by saying, I was one of the people who didn't care about the whole facebook ordeal. I don't like facebook however my passion for VR goes way beyond my dislike for Facebook so I was willing to bite the bullet and sell my old quests to get two new ones. I also didn't care what people on both sides were arguing. I have Gmail and a Google phone and I know that they are collecting my data as I type this. I have come to terms with it.
Steam, epic, discord, and others are also guilty of data collection but no one seems bring them up. If I could get rid of all my social media I would, but truth is I can't it's become an integral part of day to day life and unless we get legislation it will continue that way. Anyway back to the point, I have been ecstatic for these devices to come so I can play with my friends and family. Recently I figured I would comb through my Facebook and delete all the information about me that has changed (interests, groups, friends that don't talk to me, etc.). The only things I used Facebook for now was Oculus and marketplace. So when I started the hike through the treacherous wilderness of my account created when I was 11, there was a lot more wrong info than I initially though and I just didn't want to go through the hassle of deleting all of it but by bit. Not only that, but my account was hooked up to an old yahoo that I don't use anymore and I wanted it to go to my social email. So I decided to delete the account as a whole 3 days ago and make a new one.
I put all my correct info as well as a profile picture for a little extra credit. Everything was going swell! I only friended people who I considered still a part of my life (others just want their friend number to go up). Today I decided to log on, and to my surprise I had been suspended. I clicked the mark for review and haven't gotten a response yet. Now for me this is concerning. The reason being is I have spent a lot of money of rift and quest titles and I as well as many others do not want those title to disappear. If the new Facebook terms were applied right now, my games would be in limbo until I got my account back. At least that is all I can assume, because Facebook seems very keen on keeping us all in the dark with these new terms until our new quests are in our homes and (for some) we can't send them back. Doesn't that sound a bit off to you? I mean not being able to know the exact ways of how these new terms work until we get our devices?
It's like if valve had said "everyone who wants to continue to use our steam platform must now sign in via epic games. Future titles on/after the date will be locked until this process is complete. The full terms will go live in October 13th." Meanwhile let's say cyberpunk comes out October 13th instead of November. So what valve is saying is if you want to play cyberpunk a game you have waited many years for. You can't play it unless you combine your Steam and Epic account. Now you don't know if steam is now integrating Epic's terms of service or if Steam is keeping their terms of service or a combination of both. Think about all your thousands of games being put in limbo or even future purchases not available. If you get banned you won't be able to play those games or make a new account to buy cyberpunk. People would riot and probably boycott steam (obviously this isn't happening I was just using it as an example). That is what is happening here and I find it sad and frustrating. The fact that I couldn't make a clean slate to fix what my younger self did is ridiculous. Now I know what people will say "that's facebook, they want to keep all that old data and you circumvented it" no I was just lazy and hadn't used the account in years for social media purposes. Now I know that there is speculation about a new Facebook account implementation for these headsets or something along those lines where you can have a separate facebook account for Oculus. However this post is not backed with any evidence. Not only that what concerns me is that Facebook is not giving us this information now? Why are they waiting? It seems very disorganized and it concerns me for the future of Oculus.
Anyway thank you for coming to my TED talk. I just figured I should share the thoughts I have been having the past few weeks. Thank you if you made it here and long live VR.

2020.09.25 13:46 everdreamz Historical unadjusted stock prices?

Hi guys,
I'm using historical options data for my backtest alongside historical stock quotes from Yahoo.
I noticed that I need to account for splits, since the options data contains the premiums and strikes for the prices as they were on the date.
If I could find the unadjusted price (the original price as it was on a given date), then I can calculate the adjustment ratio between that and the prices I see on Yahoo, and then adjust the premiums and strikes accordingly to get accurate data.
Is there a recommended source to get unadjusted stock prices?
Thanks.

2020.09.25 03:15 Brothanogood PayPal vs Square: Which Fintech Stock Is A Better Buy?

The COVID-19 pandemic is accelerating digitalization and has led to a spike in online transactions and e-commerce sales. According to PayPal, the penetration of e-commerce as a percentage of retail sales in the first half of 2020 outpaced prior external forecast by 3 to 5 years. Both consumers and merchants are increasingly adopting digital payments as contactless transactions have become increasingly important amid the current crisis.
The rapid penetration of digital payments led to double-digital revenue growth in the second quarter for PayPal and Square. Using the TipRanks Stock Comparison tool, we will place these two fintech payment firms alongside each other to assess which stock offers a more compelling investment opportunity.
PayPal Holdings (PYPL)
PayPal, which was spun off from eBay in 2015, has emerged as the digital payment leader. In the second quarter, PayPal added 21.3 million net new active accounts, reflecting a 137% Y/Y rise and marking the strongest growth in the company’s history thanks to a surge in e-commerce and digital payments. As of the end of 2Q, PayPal had 346 million active accounts with over 26 million merchant accounts.
The company’s 2Q revenue surged 22.2% Y/Y to $5.26 billion. And adjusted EPS rose 49% to $1.07 as the adjusted operating margin expanded 504 basis points to 28.2%. Total Payment Volume or TPV, which indicates payments processed through the PayPal platform, grew about 29% to $222 billion. Venmo, Paypal’s mobile payments platform, witnessed a 52% growth in its TPV to $37 billion.
Following the strong 2Q momentum, PayPal reinstated its 2020 guidance and in fact, raised it. The company expects revenue growth of 20% and adjusted EPS growth of about 25%. It anticipates adding 70 million net new active accounts this year.
To boost its top-line further and promote touchless payments, PayPal launched QR Code technology in 28 markets globally in May. CVS Pharmacy will be the first retail chain to offer its customers the option to use PayPal and Venmo QR codes at checkout in its US stores. The company will also launch Venmo credit card this year.
PayPal has also expanded its Visa Direct partnership globally to accelerate real-time access to funds for small businesses, consumers and partners across its platform. This collaboration enables PayPal to extend global white label Visa Direct payout services through PayPal and its Braintree, Hyperwallet and iZettle platforms.
On Sept. 22, Mizuho Securities analyst Dan Dolev reiterated a Buy rating for PayPal with a price target of $285 as the Mizuho E-Commerce Tracker showed that unique views across key PayPal partner sites (like Etsy, Groupon and Wayfair) remained strong in July and August and also pointed to potential signs of life in the beleaguered travel category.
The Tracker also indicated that PayPal’s unique views continued to grow ahead of partner websites in the last two months, reflecting persistent share gains for the checkout button. Overall, the analyst expects strong July and August e-commerce trends coupled with share gains to bode well for the company’s second-half TPV. (See PYPL stock analysis on TipRanks)
PayPal stock has rallied about 74% year-to-date and could rise further by 17% in the coming months as indicated by the average analyst price target of $219.77. The stock scores a Strong Buy consensus based on 28 Buys, 5 Holds and no Sell ratings.
Square (SQ)
Payment facilitator Square is growing rapidly as consumers and businesses are migrating online at a faster pace amid the pandemic. From February through August 2020, there was a 13.2 percentage point increase in the share of Square sellers accepting online payments and by August, over 40% of all Square sellers were accepting online payments. Also, by August, more than 7 in 10 Square sellers were accepting contactless payments.
The company’s Cash App ecosystem delivered $1.2 billion in revenue in the second quarter, reflecting a whopping 361% Y/Y growth. The Cash App had over 30 million monthly transacting active customers in June. Aside from the accelerated digital migration, Cash App also gained from the impact of Fed stimulus, unemployment checks and tax refunds.
Second-quarter revenue grew about 64% Y/Y to $1.92 billion. But excluding bitcoin revenue, net revenue of $1.05 billion was flat Y/Y. Meanwhile, 2Q adjusted EPS declined 14.3% to $0.18. The strong growth in Cash App revenue was offset by the 17% decline in the company’s core higher-margin Seller business to $723 million. Square’s gross payment volume or GPV fell 15% Y/Y to $22.8 billion.
The Seller segment was impacted by lower volumes as several businesses were forced to close amid the shelter-in-place orders triggered by the pandemic. However, the company stated that the Sellers business improved with each month in the quarter as restrictions eased and more sellers adapted to the contactless platform.
Meanwhile, GPV from online channels grew over 50% and accounted for 25% of the Seller GPV reflecting the rapid adaption of online solutions by the sellers. (See SQ stock analysis on TipRanks)
Recently, the company announced two new features called On-Demand Pay for employees and Instant Payments for employers. These new features will further integrate Square’s Seller and Cash App ecosystems to offer financial services and simplify payroll.
Loop Capital analyst Kenneth Hill has just initiated coverage of Square with a Buy rating and a price target of $169. The analyst sees a great deal of upside ahead in the fintech company, driven by further investment in the business and monetization of the Cash App. Hill also believes that on the Seller side, the SMB network should "hold in well and continue a sustained recovery."
The Street has a cautious Moderate Buy consensus for Square with 14 Buys, 12 Holds and 2 Sells. Square stock has risen a stellar 149% year-to-date, so the average analyst price target of $151.77 indicates a possible downside of 2.5% ahead.
Bottom line
Both PayPal and Square have strong growth prospects in the digital payments world. If we look at the Street’s consensus and further upside potential, PayPal stock appears to be a better choice than Square currently.

2020.09.25 02:08 AutoModerator General Questions Thread, September 25, 2020

A thread for new collectors to ask basic questions of the community.
Frequently Asked Questions below!
A longer version of the subreddit rules is here.
For questions specifically concerning bootlegs or vendor legitimacy, please ask in the Bootleg Megathread.
NSFW & Spoiler Guidelines
  • For Self Posts: include a bolded NSFW note next to links in that post.
  • For Links to sites/images: If the figure is NSFW, or the website has any NSFW content (including ads) be sure to tag your post NSFW and use the appropriate link flair.
Bootlegs
Any collection posts containing bootlegs, comments advocating buying bootlegs, or links to sites selling bootlegs, recasts, or unlicensed merchandise will be removed.
People often ask about the legitimacy and/or safety of a number of websites which sell large resin statues. The more commonly-asked of those deal primarily in resins from studios which do not have a license from the Japanese IP holders to produce merchandise. Therefore links to those sites are not permitted here. Another sign is if MyFigureCollection doesn't list the either the statue, its manufacturer, or the shop it's being sold on.
MyFigureCollection
My Figure Collection is like MyAnimeList... but for figures! Their database includes thousands of items which been produced during the last couple of decades, along with reviews of shops and other helpful articles. One can also list their own collection and post gallery photos.

Buying & Shipping

1. What’s the best place to buy my anime figures from?
That’s going to depend a lot on what works for you, but most people around here buy them from Amiami, Big in Japan, Hobby Search, HobbyLink Japan, or Tokyo Otaku Mode. If none of those work for you for whatever reason, there’s a list of reputable retailers in the sidebar that you can check out at any time. Be extra careful when ordering figures from websites like Amazon or ebay, as there are a lot of bootlegs on those sites. Don’t be afraid to ask in our Bootleg Megathread if you’re unsure.
2. What differences are there between the shipping options I get from most Japanese shops?
Below is a rundown of the main shipping choices you’ll get at most retailers. Keep in mind that if an order is large enough you will be forced to use one of the more expensive options, as SAL shipments have lower size and weight restrictions.
  • Unregistered SAL: Sometimes referred to as uSAL, is usually the cheapest method. It does not come with any tracking or insurance. Usually takes up 2-4 weeks for delivery.
  • Registered SAL: Sometimes referred to as rSAL, is insured for the declared value up to 6,000 yen. It comes with a tracking number and usually takes 2-4 weeks for delivery.
  • EMS: This method of shipping is much faster than either SAL options, usually arriving within a week of shipment. EMS shipments are insured for the declared value up to 2,000,000 yen.
  • Airmail
  • E-packet
  • Surface: Shops don't offer this very often. It's an actual cargo ship and slow as a result.
  • DHL: Becoming more available as an alternative to EMS on AmiAmi and other sites. Can be less expensive than EMS and of comparable speed, but may be more reliant on the specific geographical area being shipped to. Offers their own tracking.
3. I placed two+ orders for figures at different times. Will my items be shipped together, or will I have to pay shipping twice?
Most shops will ask you to pay shipping on a per-order basis, but here are some that will allow combined shipping:
  • Amiami: You can combine orders here, as long as the orders ship in the same month. It doesn’t matter if the item is new or preowned. Any preorders that are set for that month can also be combined with other orders for that month. However, be aware that if the preorder gets delayed, Amiami will remove that item from that month’s shipment and place it on a new order. To combine orders on Amiami, use the “Combine Orders” feature under “My Account”.
  • Hobby Search: Hobby Search will let you combine orders that release in the same month, but you cannot combine in stock items with preorders. If you want to combine multiple preorders, or multiple in stock items, you can do so using the “Order Recombination” feature on your account page.
  • HobbyLink Japan: At HLJ, you have the option to send paid orders to their “Private Warehouse”, where you can store them for up to 2 months. When you’re ready to ship the items, you simply select which items to ship and HLJ will combine them into one shipment for you. To use this, just select the “Private Warehouse” option as shipping when you order.
  • GSC Web Shop: Here you’ll pay a flat 2,000 yen fee per order. It doesn’t matter how many items you put in your order, or how many different months the items release in. They will charge you 2,000 yen and ship all items as they release. The exception to this rule is their Wonder Festival exclusive items. Those can only be placed in the same order as other Wonder Festival items.
If you’re unsure about whether or not a shop we haven’t listed will combine your orders, please refer to their individual FAQ’s.
4. When will I get charged for my preorder?
Most Japanese shops charge you once the item is in stock and ready for shipment. When that happens, they will send you an email asking for payment. Some shops (mostly overseas ones), will allow you to pay for the item up front though, if you’d like. A few with that option are:
  • Big in Japan (Japanese store)
  • Tokyo Otaku Mode
  • Anime Island
  • Crunchyroll
Keep in mind that overseas stores will likely get the figure a few months after Japanese ones, so pay attention to the release date stated on the website you are buying from so as to avoid that confusion.
5. Should I expect to pay customs fees when importing figures?
That depends on where you live. Here’s a quick rundown:
  • Australia: 10% GST is now assessed up front.
  • Canada: Minimum declared value for charges is around CAD$20 for regular shipments, and CAD$60 for gifts (gifting something only seems to lower the declared value by about CAD$40, not deplete it completely). When using Amiami, try their Small Air Packet option. It comes with tracking, gets there in about the same time as EMS, and is better at avoiding customs.
  • Europe: Using EMS raises your chance of getting charged for customs. SAL can still avoid customs in some countries, but generally gets checked in the UK now if the items are above the threshold. Amiami offers a shipping service called “Small Air Packet” that is really good for avoiding customs when you are only shipping one or two figures. Small Air Packet usually takes about the same amount of time as EMS, and still comes with tracking. The minimum declared value for customs charges in the Europe is pretty low- around £15 (£36 for gifts) / €20.
  • Mexico: Minimum declared value for customs fees is USD$300 for shipments by post, and USD$50 for shipments by courier.
  • United States: A shipment has to have a declared value of USD$2,000 before customs starts hitting you with fees, so you most likely won’t have to worry about them at all.
6. The figure I want is an exclusive, how do I go about ordering one outside of Japan?
You have three options for this:
A. Big in Japan is known to stock exclusive figures and ship to other countries. Usually the price is higher because they build in their proxy fees, but it’s easier than worrying about using a forwarder or proxy service. If you live in the US, Crunchyroll, Right Stuf, and Tokyo Otaku Mode also get exclusives sometimes, but out of the states the shipping can get expensive.
B. Forwarding Services: A forwarder is someone who you ship an exclusive item to so that they can forward the package on to you, usually for a flat fee + shipping. When using a forwarder you still make the purchase yourself, and enter their address into the shipping field. When the box arrives at the forwarder they will then stick your address onto the package and send it on its way.
Some popular forwarders are:
Be sure to read each sites instructions on forwarding carefully!
C. Proxy Services: With a proxy, you tell them what the item you’re looking for is and they will purchase it in your stead. This is handy for when a company doesn’t accept foreign credit cards, or you’re having trouble navigating a Japanese website.
Some popular proxies are:
Again, be sure you thoroughly read through each sites proxy instructions.
7. I see a bunch of really cheap figures that ship from China on ebay. Are those okay to buy?
Generally, no. They’re most likely bootlegs. If you want a second opinion on that, feel free to ask in the Bootleg Megathread that’s always stickied at the top of the sub.
8. What’s a bootleg, and how can I avoid buying them?
A bootleg is a counterfeit figure often made using rejected molds of the official product. They are usually priced significantly lower than the genuine article, and in order to make their profit, bootleggers use lower quality materials and have less attention to detail- resulting in a substandard figure.
The Bootleg Megathread that I mentioned in question 7 is a great tool to avoid buying any bootlegs. It has a few tips and tricks to avoiding them to begin with, and a few more on how to spot them if you’re worried you might already own one.
9. Does anyone know when figure X is going to be released? How do I know if it was delayed?
My Figure Collection (sometimes referred to as MFC) does an excellent job of staying on top of information like release dates and delays. If you’re curious about an upcoming figures release date, check there first. This information can be found directly under the “Releases” section on a figure’s entry. If you only see a month and a year in that section, it means the release date has not yet been announced by the manufacturer, and there is still a chance the figure could be delayed.
If you make an account on MFC you can also subscribe to comments, changes, and pictures via a checkbox on the right hand side of a figure’s listing. Subscribing to any of these things will allow MFC to send you an email anytime the subscription in question updates. Subscribing to “changes” is a great way to keep up with release dates and delays, among other things.
10. The figure I want is long sold out at normal retailers! What’s the best place to pick it up in the aftermarket?
A list of reputable retailers can be found under the “Shops” section of the /AnimeFigures sidebar. They all sell legitimate products, and many of them also sell figures second hand. However, the most frequently suggested second hand sites are Mandarake and Amiami- who has a preowned section that they update every night save Sundays and Japanese holidays around 1PM JST and again around 6PM JST.
AmiAmi grades their pre-owned items on a letter scale. The general consensus from buyers is that their ratings are conservative, so unless the item and/or packaging is specifically indicated as having significant flaws, pre-owned items from them are usually in at least as good a condition as their rating suggests.
Note: When you search Mandarake, you’ll get the best results by using the Japanese characters for whatever you are searching. If you don’t know them, you can find them on MFC by clicking on any of the “details” in that figure’s listing.
11. Amiami has a figure I’m interested in labeled as “For sale in Japan only”. Does this mean I can’t order it without a proxy or forwarder?
No, you can still order it. Amiami’s English site has that warning on many items, and it’s mostly meant to inform you that this product was made for a Japanese market, and as such, will have Japanese speaking/writing in it- so don’t expect any instructions to be in English. If Amiami doesn’t want foreigners buying a certain product, they won’t even list it on their English site.

Displaying Your Figures

12. What display cases do you recommend?
If you live near an Ikea try out one of these:
*If you decided on a Detolf, you might find that there is a lot of wasted space. Here are a few tutorials on raising the shelves or and adding extra ones in.
If you don’t live near an Ikea, Amazon has a few display options, though they are more expensive. Also keep an eye on your local Craigslist (or your country’s equivalent) and stores near you that are closing up.
13. What lighting do you guys recommend?
Ikea’s Dioder LED strips are often suggested. They come in white or muti-colored.
Most hardware stores carry something similar though, if you don’t live by an Ikea. Just make sure that the lights don’t get too hot!
14. What are those clear plastic boxes that I see under everyone’s figures in their collection posts, and where can I get them?
Those are called risers. Most of us use standard acrylic risers like these. Some other, easy to find things that have been suggested are:
Check your local hobby store for the first 2 options, or your local hardware store if you want to make your own.
Another common suggestion is to visit The Container Store if you have one near you. They have a lot of things to choose from that can suit a variety of needs. Be sure to check out their standard acrylic risers, their Amac boxes, and the various display cases they sell (baseball cases, mini car cases. hockey puck cases, etc).
15. Should I keep my figures sealed?
That is, of course, up to you really, but here are a few things to keep in mind when debating this question:
  • Keeping it sealed can actually damage your figure. PVC figures usually have something called plasticizer in them, and that plasticizer needs to be able to breath. If a PVC figure isn’t exposed to oxygen, after a period of time the plasticizer starts to break down and form a sticky substance on the surface of the figure. Simply opening your figures and taking them out of the box prevents this from happening. If you happen to find plasticizer goo on one of your figures, Kahotan has a handy guide for dealing with it.
  • Unlike some other figure markets, keeping an anime figure sealed won’t raise its value by a whole lot. In fact, because of the plasticizer problem mentioned above, your figure could actually be in better condition if you open it versus keeping it sealed.

Finding the Right Figure(s) for You

16. There are so many figure companies! Who makes good figures?!
Obviously this is a very subjective question, but as a general starting point, here are a few well renowned figure companies:
  • Alter
  • Max Factory
  • Good Smile Company
  • Kotobukiya (usually hit or miss for people. Use your best judgement based off of the prototype)
  • Aquamarine
  • Flare
  • Stronger
17. I really love “series X / character X”- how can I check if any figures were ever made for it?
My Figure Collection can be your best friend here. Simply do a search on the name of the series or character using the search bar located at the top right of the screen, and all associated figures pop up!
Alternatively, if you’re looking at a figure’s MFC entry, most of the text under the “Details” section can be clicked on and used to run a search.
18. How can I commission a custom figure?
None of the major figure companies (Alter, Kotobukiya, Good Smile Company, etc.) will take a commission for a single figure. This thread has a few websites in it that you can check out, or you can look into garage kits. Some kit painters would be willing to resculpt, frankenstein together, or otherwise modify kits for the right price.
If you're looking for help completing a garage kit, /brushforhire may be useful.

Keeping Up with New Announcements

19. How can I keep up with figure news (announcements, updates, etc.)?
Most people use a MFC combined with any or all of the following news sites:
To use MFC for this I’ll quote question #9.
Most companies have one or more Twitter accounts. Some examples: Good Smile Company sales, Good Smile's USA branch, Max Factory, AmiAmi Hobby News.
20. Everyone’s excited about something called Wonfes….. what the heck is that?!
WonFes (short for Wonder Festival) is a biannual figure expo where many figure producers (both large and small) show off new sculpts and updates to figures already under way. Most companies save their most exciting announcements for WonFes, so we all look forward to the expo whenever it rolls around! Winter Wonder Festival is usually held in February, while Summer Wonder Festival is usually in July. The event has also spread to Shanghai, in the late spring.
21. One or two (or 15) figures were announced at WonFes that I’m really excited about! How can I keep track of their progress once the event is over?
MFC is always really quick about getting new WonFes announcements (or any others throughout the year, for that matter) listed in their database, so we suggest using that. To find a figure from the event you can search any number of things, including the name of the character or the name of the show. You can also use the tag search to search “WonderFestival 20xx_[season]” to see all items announced at that event.

2020.09.24 21:25 DarthChihuahua YAHOO league question. Made trade yesterday. One player plays tonight. Trade won’t go through till tomorrow

I traded J Robinson yesterday and others for Hopkins. The deal won't go through till tomorrow/Friday. I want to play the player (Hopkins) I traded for THIS weekend. Not next. Do I do that by not playing Robinson tonight?
From Yahoo on trade:
Note: This trade will be processed on Friday, Sep 25 for Week 3. If the traded players have already played in Week 3 and were in a starting lineup, then the trade will be processed for Week 4 instead. If you've set your lineup for future dates, those changes will be reset to match your lineup for the day players are added.

2020.09.24 20:46 fineprintdata DeJoy's Stocks vs. the 2020 Election

I’ve been trying to understand the web of financial interests surrounding Postmaster DeJoy. Here’s what I’ve got so far. A full graphic of his history with XPO is here, along with the following writeup.

TL:DR Postmaster DeJoy has a massive (187 to 1) conflict-of-interest between his stock in his ex-company, XPO Logistics, and his role as head of the Post Office. The conflict is so massive that his best financial interest is to stay in power as long as possible so in order to weaken the Post Office where it competes with XPO and/or increase Post Office outsourcing for services that XPO provides.
  1. The $-leverage-gap between DeJoy’s stock in his former company, XPO (estimated at $57 million on 9/18) and his annual salary as Postmaster General ($303,460) is 187 to 1.
  2. In the first 10 weeks of DeJoy appointment, USPS payments to XPO have increased by 412% over the same time period last year (although this contract does pre-date DeJoy's appointment, it came after he was floated as a replacement to Postmaster Brennan and after DeJoy's chief advocate, John Barger, was named to head the search process. ).
  3. Since DeJoy’s appointment, 7% of all First-Class mail has been delayed and 13% of the country's mail-sorting machines have been scheduled for decommission before the election.
  4. DeJoy’s changes have slowed mail, weakened confidence in the USPS, and decreased access to voting-by-mail. With a clear Democratic dependence on voting-by-mail, these policies increase the likelihood that Trump wins, so that DeJoy can weaken the USPS as a competitor to XPO and increase USPS outsourcing to XPO.
I looked at three primary sources to compile information about Postmaster General DeJoy’s financial interests. These are SEC insider trading filings as relates to his position as an executive at XPO, nonprofit 501c(3) disclosure filings for the DeJoy Wos Family Foundation, and the EIGA Annual Financial Disclosures and Periodic Transaction Reports for DeJoy and his immediate family.
### Background
Louis DeJoy is a former logistics executive and Trump campaign megadonor. He was confirmed as the 75th Postmaster General earlier this year, assuming the position on June 16, 2020. His wife, Aldona Wos, had served as Ambassador to Estonia under George W. Bush and had been considered for the position of Ambassador to Canada. Since DeJoy’s confirmation, concerns about conflicts of interest between his personal investments and USPS policy have grown, leading to inquiries by both the House Oversight Committee and Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee. Earlier this month, the House opened a separate investigation of DeJoy’s alleged campaign finance violations involving his former company, New Breed Logistics.
### XPO Logistics
Louis DeJoy and his wife, Aldona Wos, have an estimated $56 million stake in XPO Logistics, the multinational company that DeJoy helped run and a direct beneficiary of the new policies DeJoy enacted at the Postal Service. For context, as of late 2019, the couple have a combined net worth between $93 and $314 million, with income between $6 to $31 million. In other words, they have tied between 18 and 60 percent of their wealth to the financial success of a company that DeJoy regulates.
DeJoy ran his family company, New Breed Logistics, with his brothers from 1983 to 2014. He then sold New Breed to XPO Logistics for $615 million in the summer of 2014. As part of the deal, DeJoy was appointed President of XPO’s North America & Asia-Pacific supply chain business, due to his expertise in supply chain operations. He also agreed to purchase $30 million worth of restricted XPO shares, evenly divided between the pre-merger ($26.03) and post-merger ($32.45) share price. In December of 2015, DeJoy suddenly retired as President and joined the Board of XPO. In his ownership filings as a member of the board, we can only find evidence of him owning ~$15 million in XPO stock. It’s unclear whether the other $15 million stock purchase was ever executed, and if not, why.
Cross-referencing DeJoy’s SEC ownership filings and his exercised XPO options, we estimate that he currently owns 650,000 shares of XPO, valued at $56.8 million on September 18th. In contrast, DeJoy makes $303,460 annually as Postmaster General. As such, a change in XPO’s stock price of just 47 cents is the equivalent of his annual salary. On September 1st of this year, for example, DeJoy made more than four times his annual salary in total capital gains on his XPO stock, adding around $1,287,000 to his net worth in a single day.
As part of their delivery network, the Post Office contracts long-haul shipping jobs to a large number of private contractors, including XPO. While this does not represent the largest revenue stream for XPO, it does receive millions of dollars in federal contracts every year. Since DeJoy’s appointment, XPO has seen a 412% year over year increase in payments from these contracts, from $3.4 million over the same time period last year to $14 million.
### Power Through USPS Policy Changes
DeJoy’s policies have delayed 7 percent of all first-class mail. He has ordered the removal of 13% of all sorting machines used to help process mail-in ballots, and worries persist regarding the Postal Service’s ability to handle the expected volume of vote by mail ballots. Impeding the ability of the Postal Service to process mail-in ballots when evidence suggests that Democrats are vastly more likely to cast them would undoubtedly help Trump win reelection.
DeJoy’s policies have already degraded confidence in the Postal Service. Indeed, at least 21 states plan to sue the Postal Service over DeJoy’s changes. Even a small decrease in voter turnout or ballot delivery could affect electoral outcomes, often decided by a few swing states. A difference of around 100,000 votes in Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin would have changed the outcome of the 2016 election. With around one third of Americans planning to vote by mail, any interruption to the postal service could cause vote counting delays or prevent votes from being counted. In other words, in 2020, whoever controls the mail, controls the elections.

2020.09.24 14:24 sugardatingsites How To Get A Kinky Date

How To Get A Kinky Date
Nobody knows for sure if it is the Internet, pop music (and corresponding video clips), or some other influence. The fact of the matter is that more and more people find their way into alternative lifestyles. As a result, large numbers of people try to "date kinky". And that maybe a little more difficult than many people expect it to be.

https://preview.redd.it/k4yb9yph93p51.jpg?width=652&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4055deeaa9c708f0ef0f939b7ed2c589b9d49693
Outsiders especially often have problems finding their way into alternative lifestyle communities and even more trouble finding a partner.
Here are the five most important "do" and "do not" issues:
Do not buy a pair of leather pants and start patrolling the neighborhood hoping someone will pick up your "signal". That will not work and you can work around until the cows come home. Sure enough, the kinky people will notice what you are trying to do. They will however also have a good laugh about your actions as soon as you are out of sight. Do actively engage in conversation! If you fancy someone and fancy a spanking, simply say so - albeit not in your pick up line. These days most people will not shy away from kinky subjects. In fact, you will probably grab their attention.
Do not be overly optimistic about the results of your kinky Internet dating plans. Kinky Internet dating works sometimes, but most of the time it does not and you will end up with no date at all or a major disappointment. Do inform yourself about meeting spots in your area. Swingers clubs, BDSM groups, and quite often concerts are excellent meeting (and dating) opportunities. You will find them in Yahoo groups or with a bit of creative Internet searching.
Do not try and play the "I have seen it all before" type if you have not. Kinky communities are small and they form an in-crowd. They will spot your facade from Miles away. Do be honest. If "going kinky" is new to you and you are somewhat uncertain and shy about it. that is perfectly okay and people will applaud your honesty about it.
Do not start out by buying lots of toys and gear. That is much like buying a car stereo and a set of snow tires without owning a car. Do invest in finding a partner, mate, or play buddy. There will be time enough to go out and buy the cuffs, whips, and other stuff. Doing that together is much more fun anyway.
Do not assume people are into anything and everything just because they are kinky. Someone into spanking wants to spank or be spanked. Actual intercourse for example is usually not a part of that process, regardless of what you may see on pornographic movies and pictures. Do ask! More experienced people especially will be more than happy to talk about - and explain - the dos and do of their kink. Eventually, that makes things more fun.

2020.09.24 03:05 AutoModerator General Questions Thread, September 24, 2020

2020.09.23 17:43 jango-b A Completionist Guide to Yes Live: Part Four, Rite of Spring through The Royal Affair

The final entry in my collection of Yes live, a list of most songs from every tour, and the best quality recordings I could find of each. See part three here.
Yes toured a ton in this decade (over 450 shows plus ARW), some setlists are repetitive, and most tours that were not officially released are audience recordings.
YES TOURS PART FOUR: 2011 - 2019
RITE OF SPRING (2011) David, Squire, Howe, Downes, White
This tour was short (19 shows) and I could not find a single soundboard. I got the best audience recordings, but none are great.
Close to the Edge, I’ve Seen All Good People, Long Distance Runaround, Whitefish/On the Silent Wings of Freedom, Machine Messiah, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Parallels, Roundabout, Starship Trooper, Tempus Fugit, Yours is No Disgrace, and Steve solos of Soon, To Be Over, and Ritual; Zeiterion Performing Arts Center (March 29, 2011, New Bedford MA).
Steve plays a solo version of Turn of the Century at; The Fillmore Charlotte (March 25, 2011, Charlotte, NC).
FLY FROM HERE (11-12) David/Davison, Squire, Howe, Downes, White
This tour was NOT short, but still no soundboard recordings, just audience recordings of lesser quality.
With Benoit David: Tempus Fugit, Yours is No Disgrace, I’ve Seen All Good People, Fly From Here Part 1, And You And I, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Roundabout, Starship Trooper; One For The Ages (July 8, 2011, Mashantucket CT).
With Benoit David: Life On a Film Set, Solitaire, Fly From Here (complete), Wonderous Stories, Into the Storm, Heart of the Sunrise; Teatro Smeraldo (November 24, 2011, Milano Italy).
In that last show, you can already hear Benoit David’s voice starting to suffer. There are recordings of the shows after this which are worse. Yes replaced him with Jon Davison and continued this tour in April 2012.
With Jon Davison: Yours is No Disgrace, Tempus Fugit, I’ve Seen All Good People, America, Sketches in the Sun, Clap, Fly From Here, Wonderous Stories, Into the Storm, Heart of the Sunrise, Awaken, Roundabout; NYCB Theater at Westbury (July 14, 2012, Westbury CT).
THREE ALBUM TOUR (13-14) Davison, Squire, Howe, Downes, White
Every song on this tour was released officially:
All of Going For the One and The Yes Album are on Like It Is: Yes at the Bristol Hippodrome (May 11, 2014, Bristol UK).
Fragile and Close to the Edge, plus Owner of a Lonely Heart; Like It Is: Yes at the Mesa Arts Center (August 12, 2014, Mesa AZ).
HEAVEN & EARTH (2014) Davison, Squire, Howe, Downes, White
The H&E tour started immediately after the Three Album tour and the setlists were very similar. They just added a few songs from the new album.
No official release, but an official webcast:
All of Fragile and Close to the Edge, plus Believe Again, The Game, I’ve Seen all Good People, Owner of a Lonely Heart; Yahoo! Live Webcast (August 19, 2014, San Jose CA).
An audience recording of To Ascend; The Egg (July 6, 2014, Albany NY).
Chris’ last tour. Rest in peace, Fish.
TOUR WITH TOTO (2015) Davison, Sherwood, Howe, Downes, White
America, Don’t Kill the Whale, Going For The One, Starship Trooper, Tempus Fugit, Time And a Word, I’ve Seen All Good People, Siberian Khatru, Owner of a Lonely Heart and Roundabout*; Red Butte Garden Amphitheatre (August 31, 2015, Salt Lake City UT).*
Believe Again, White Car, Nine Voices, Clap, Soon; Cruise to the Edge – Norwegian Pearl (November 16, 2015).
THE ALBUM SERIES: FRAGILE & DRAMA (2016) Davison, Sherwood, Howe, Downes, Schellen
No official release. This tour only had 25 dates, and no soundboard recordings exist.
The best audience recording is Ancienne Belgique (May 14, 2016, Brussels Belgium). Set list is all of Drama and Fragile plus Time And a Word, Siberian Khatru, Going For the One, Owner of a Lonely Heart, and Starship Trooper.
Don’t Kill the Whale; Gran Teatro Geox (May 29, 2016, Padova Italy).
THE ALBUM SERIES: TOPOGRAPHIC DRAMA (16-17) Davison, Sherwood, Howe, Downes, Schellen
Official release: All of Drama, And You And I, Heart of the Sunrise, Revealing Science of God, Leaves of Green, Ritual, Roundabout, and Starship Trooper; Topographic Drama – Live Across America (various concerts in February 2017, USA).

I’ve Seen All Good People; Tokyo 4th Night (November 29, 2016, Tokyo Japan).
Heat of the Moment (tribute to John Wetton); Cruise to the Edge (February 8, 2017).
YES FEATURING ARW (16-18) Anderson, Pomeroy, Rabin, Wakeman, Molino
They played over a hundred shows over three years, although the set list did not vary dramatically. And Trevor knocked a few of Rick’s teeth out. Accidentally.
Official release: And You And I, Awaken, Changes, Cinema, Heart of the Sunrise, Hold On, I’ve Seen All Good People, Lift Me Up, Long Distance Runaround, The Fish, Owner of a Lonely Heart, Perpetual Change, Rhythm of Love, Roundabout; Yes Featuring ARW - Live at the Apollo (March 25, 2017, Manchester UK).

The Meeting; ARW Hard Rock Live (October 14, 2016, Orlando FL).
YESTIVAL (2017) Davison, Sherwood, Howe, Downes, White, Dylan Howe
This tour only had 23 dates before it was cancelled due to the tragic death of Virgil Howe. Only one show has a half-decent recording.
Survival, Time and a Word, Yours is No Disgrace, South Side of the Sky, And You And I, Leaves of Green, Soon, Going For The One, Don’t Kill The Whale, Machine Messiah, Madrigal, Roundabout, Starship Trooper; Yestival Mashantucket (August 10, 2017, Mashantucket CT).

Onward, Wonderous Stories, Revealing Science of God; Colston Hall (March 13, 2018, Bristol UK).
Fly From Here, Heart of the Sunrise, Perpetual Change, Does it Really Happen?; Wellmont Theater (July 7, 2018, Montclair NJ).
THE ROYAL AFFAIR (2019) Davison, Sherwood, Howe, Downes, White, Schellen
The Royal Affair Tour: Live in Las Vegas (July 26, 2019) will be released October 30, 2020. Set list; America, Going For The One, I’ve Seen All Good People, Imagine, No Opportunity Necessary, Onward, Roundabout, Siberian Khatru, Starship Trooper, and Tempus Fugit.
Gates of Delirium, Rhythm of Love, Sketches in the Sun; Bethlehem (June 12, 2019, Bethlehem PA).
Clap; Uncasville (June 18, 2019, Mohegan Sun Arena, Uncasville CT)
Second Initial; Saratoga California (July 28, 2019, The Mountain Winery, Saratoga CA)
THE FUTURE
Yes planned to tour in 2020 but had to postpone due to the pandemic. A tour is tentatively planned for 2021, including the entire Relayer album. There is also the possibility of a new albums from either of two different bands that call themselves Yes.

2020.09.23 12:52 stapler808 VBA pulling data from yahoo finance - update VBA to update existing sheet

VBA newbie here. Would like to edit the VBA so it will update/refresh the data in an existing sheet instead of updating the 'Data' sheet. (Ex. AAPL data should be updated to the 'AAPL') sheet. Would be great if is just an update/refresh in a defined range in the sheet to allow for other formulas to run.
Any suggestions would be appreciated!
